First, make sure you are using the right type of banner. Most fencing, especially chain link fencing, is susceptible to wind flowing through. We suggest using vinyl mesh banners, which also allow air flow.
Second, your banner needs grommets, which are the little punched holes that are protected with metal rings located around the perimeter. We include grommets at no extra charge with your fence banner order. Grommets across the top and bottom and on every corner, preferably every 12”, will make your banner easier to install and keep it more secure.
Third, sturdy hemming along the edges is ideal for banner durability. Hemming helps prevent tears and fraying. We include heat-welded hemming of all edges at no extra charge with your fence banner order.
Time to head to your fence. Visualize the top line of where you will install your banner. Attach the first top corner to the fence and, following your visual reference line, attach the banner through every grommet one by one across the entire top (without skipping or jumping), finishing on the opposite corner.
After you have the entire top attached tightly and securely, with no grommets skipped or noticeable sagging, stretch the banner down tightly and attach both bottom corners; pull down to attach the bottom middle. Continue with the remaining bottom grommets, providing a reasonable amount of tension on the banner for every grommet.
Stand back and admire your beautiful banner!
